Financial, Indigenous Services, and Transportation
Provided by Carrier Sekani Family Services
- Be eligible for and obtain Indian Registration (status)
- Be a resident of BC with a valid Personal Health Number (PHN)
- For infants, access without Indian registration is up to 24 months of age if they have one parent with an Indian registration number – after 24 months, infants must be registered and have their own Indian registration number (status)
- Travel to access medical services insured through the BC Medical Services Plan; however, providers must be registered under the MSP policy – you can register for MSP at your local Service BC office
- Access to necessary medical specialty services not available in your community of residence – closest provider policy will be enforced by FNHA
- Access to dental services that are not available in your community of residence – closest provider policy will be enforced by FNHA
- Travel to FNHA funded treatment centres for substance use (formerly NNADAP)
- Travel that does not meet the above eligibility will not be covered by the Medical Transportation Program and CSFS employees do not have the ability to overturn any of the eligibility requirements as they are enforced by FNHA.
