Food Services - The Gateway of Hope - Langley

Provides warm meals and food hampers to those in need in Langley.
The following services are offered:
  • Community Meal Centre: Provides a warm and healthy meal every day. Provides lunch at 12:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Provides dinner at 5:00pm on Tuesday & Thursday. Everyone is welcome. Features a healthy menu created with the input of a professional nutritionist.
  • Christmas Hampers: Provides groceries to those in need around the holidays. Christmas hampers are for single community members, couples without children and seniors living in the Langley/Aldergrove area. Registration is mandatory and starts the first week of November. To register proof of personal identification, confirmation of address and income verification.
  • School Supply Drive: Assists students (grades K-12) with the basic school supplies they will need to succeed in school. To receive help through the School Supply Program registration is required and starts mid-July and goes until the end of August (based on when first day of school is). In addition to personal information (name, address, phone number) registrants will need to provide child’s name, care card number, grade and school attending. Langley & Aldergrove residents can register in person or over the phone.
  • Skillet 101 : Skillet 101 is a community kitchen program where community members can learn to cook healthy affordable meals for their selves and family in an electric skillet. It is a free 6 week program with classes running every Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If a participant can commit to all 6 weeks and don’t miss a class then they will get to take their skillet home with them at the end of the sessions.
