Bridging to Employment - Workplace Preparation Program for Youth and Adults

This program is for Indigenous people 16 years and older and is designed to assist those that are unemployed, under employed, or those wanting to improve their skills to enter the workforce.
Participants in the program have access to education, training, and skill development that support their path to self-sufficiency and overall well-being. The program helps participants overcome barriers to advancing their education, skills, and personal growth. By integrating Indigenous learning approaches, the program fosters lasting positive change grounded in culture and values. Services offered include:
  • Employability and Life Skills Training
  • Certificate Training in First Aid, WHMIS, Serving it Right, FoodSafe, S100/S185 Fire Suppression, Financial Literacy & more
  • Basic computer skills
  • Creating resumes, cover letters and interview prep.
  • Connecting students with training and the work industry
  • Post Secondary and upgrading orientation
  • Bah’lat model graduation ceremony and so much more

Prince George Program:
In Prince George, the program is 9 weeks, offered 3 times per year and at no cost to the participants. To apply, download the Prince George application form. Fill out the form and return or fax it to the Prince George office.

Burns Lake Program:
In Burns Lake, the program is 10 weeks, offered 4 times per year also and is also free of charge. To apply, download the Burns Lake application form. Fill out the form and return or fax it to the Burns Lake office.
