Youth Concurrent Disorders Services - Bella Coola
Addictions / Substance Use, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Services for Youth
Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health
Youth Concurrent Disorder Clinicians provide services to youth and young adults ages 13 to 24 including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and individual, group, and family counselling for clients with addiction/substance use concerns.
Youth Concurrent Disorders Services may include the following:
- Creating individualized treatment plans for youth and young adults with concurrent mental health and addiction/substance use issues.
- Providing psychoeducation, family sessions, and parenting/caregiver support. Supports with referrals to withdrawal management (detox) and addiction/substance use treatment programs.
- Working collaboratively with school staff, Nuxalk Health and Wellness staff, and other agencies to support youth and young adults and their families who are struggling with mental health and addiction/substance use issues.
