Each centre has an interdisciplinary healthcare team that provides a range of services in a single site. The selection of services offered in each Primary Health Care Centre reflects the unique needs of its community.
Slocan Community Health Centre also offers:
NOTE: Community Health Centres do not have acute care beds, but may provide: basic laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long term residential care services; and/or on-site doctors’ offices.
- Early Years: Public Health Nurses (PHNs) assess maternal & newborn health and development, and provide education and ongoing support through early childhood as needed.
- Child Health Clinics: Global health and development assessments, health information, education and referrals. Immunizations according to the BC Immunization Guide for children at 2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 months, and for 4-6 year olds.

Slocan Community Health Centre also offers:
- Rehabilitation
- Holter Monitor
- Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)
- Radiology (X-ray): X-rays are available on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Emergency Health Services: Until further notice: Emergency department hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Laboratory Services: Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to Noon. Limited walk-in service is available.
