Sleep apnea testing is a medical process used to diagnose Sleep Apnea, a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. The most common method is a sleep study, either done overnight in a clinic (called polysomnography) or at home using portable monitoring equipment. These tests track factors like breathing patterns, oxygen levels, heart rate, and brain activity to determine if a person has sleep apnea and how severe it is.
