Indigenous Education, Training and Employment Support

Provided by kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nation

Provides support for all aspects of learning and career development for the Nation and its members. It also includes youth engagement in areas such as sports and leadership.
Early Childhood Two day per week kindergarten preparation class for children under five years of age.

Post-Secondary Scholarship Program The Nation provides financial support for all registered kʷikʷəƛ̓əm m̀əlstéyəxw to attend an accredited post-secondary institution such as a college, university or technical institution, in Canada and the United States. You can attend school full-time or part-time.

Employment and Training: The Nation is currently in the process of hiring a contractor from Work BC to provide in-house support to members. Work BC helps individuals find their next job and offers a variety of services including employment planning, skills assessment, training, resume writing and work experience opportunities We are also working on completing a skills inventory that includes the education and training needs and goals of our members.
