Connects clients with a variety of resources and information specific to Indigenous Health.
Indigenous Health Liaisons promote culturally safe experiences for First Nations, Metis and Inuit patients accessing health and wellness services. Liaisons support Indigenous patients in navigating the healthcare system, safe transitions from hospital to home, and connections to community services. They have access to several Elders within FHA.
When to Call:
- To refer any Indigenous patients
- To ask any questions regarding Indigenous Health Services available
- To help Indigenous patients access services throughout the healthcare system
