Fraser Valley Youth Society - Weekly Drop-ins for LGBTQ2S+

Provided by Fraser Valley Youth Society (FVYS)

Weekly drop-ins for LGBTQ2S+ members and allies aged ages 13-25.
Weekly drop-ins include check-ins, discussions, and occasional workshops with guest speakers. Some drop-ins are used as social open nights where people can socialize, watch a movie, do art, listen to music, or chat with staff. A list of drop-in locations is available online. Additional programs include:
  • The Youth Engaged for Sustainable Healthcare (YESH) program: Designed to be a leadership initiative of it’s own. Members become part of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and meet with their colleagues to brainstorm, plan and implement their ideas on creating safe, supportive, and healthy spaces and relationships with others in the community.
  • School Based GSA Support: Starting a GSA at your school and need some help setting it up or fun activity ideas? We will come to your GSA and help in any way we can! We have resources that can help make it easier.

FVYS has relationships with other community partners in the Fraser Valley, and we are happy to provide youth and families with referrals to community agencies that can help them meet their needs.

If you’re nervous about coming for your first time, please feel free to contact staff or search the group on Facebook. Our youth and staff are open, welcoming and inclusive.
