Begin Again - Widows Support Group for Women

A support group to promote emotional, physical and social wellness for widows and divorced women over 55 years.
This lifestyle adjustment program operates as a grief support group and helps widows aged 55 and older resume social activities. Every session is different, with past agendas including motivational speakers on topics specific to senior women including representatives from ICBC, pharmacies, financial institutions, the RCMP and Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue. They have also had demonstrations by local community groups such as tai chi and Scottish dancers. Afterward, tea, coffee, and goodies are served. Although at this time men are not allowed, the women are willing to help set up a separate group if there is interest.
Begin Again meets in the afternoons on the last Friday of every month (except in July, August, and December) at the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
There is a yearly membership fee of $35 if you are interested in continued participation.
