HandyDART

Provided by BC Transit

HandyDART is a specialized accessible transit service for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities who can’t use regular buses or trains due to mobility or health limitations.
HandyDART is an accessible, door-to-door transit service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevents them from using fixed-route transit without assistance. HandyDART drivers pick passengers up at an agreed-upon location and drop them off at the closest accessible point near their destination, often right at the door. Assistance with boarding and exiting the bus is also provided as needed.

HandyDART is part of the Accessible Transit Services offered through both TransLink and BC Transit.
Registration is free, but passengers will need to register for HandyDART before booking a trip.

Residents of Metro Vancouver:
Please complete TransLink's HandyDART and HandyCard Application Form. HandyDART applications are processed within 10 days of confirmed receipt. HandyCard applications require 4 to 6 weeks for processing.

Those planning to visit Metro Vancouver and wishing to use the paratransit system during their stay are asked to complete the HandyDART Visitor Application Form.

If assistance is required to complete the application, including obtaining a printed copy, contact Access Transit Customer Care at 604-953-3680.

Residents Outside of Metro Vancouver:
Please complete BC Transit's HandyDART Application Form. BC Transit serves all communities outside of Metro Vancouver. This includes the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, Okanagan, Kootenays, Central and Northern BC.

Applicants can also include the optional Medical Verification of Eligibility Form. This form helps determine eligibility for HandyDART service.
